Born in Oxford, Gill always had a keen interest in science. After an initial period of working for the Library Service, Gill worked for the Forensic Science Service before studying Genetics at Nottingham University. After leaving university, Gill worked for Tenovus undertaking cancer research. Whilst working for the Forensic Science Service Gill was involved in the team that developed forensic DNA Fingerprinting techniques based on the work of Alex Jefferies at Leicester University.
As the Quality Systems Manager for GSA, Gill manages the operational audit of the Quality Management System. On a day to day basis Gill manages the office, admin teams, IT Manager and general HR issues. Gill has also developed and implemented procedures covering HAZOP co-ordination, procurement, installation and commissioning of process plants.
