Peter Sanderson - Electrical Instrumentation and Control Manager

-
Peter started his working life in Instrumentation and Process Control with British Steel in Scunthorpe (now Corus). The majority of his time was spent in the steelmaking area, but towards the end of this time at British Steel Peter worked on "on line" gas analysis systems and Laboratory Analytical Equipment including solid, liquid & gas analysis.
After leaving British Steel, Peter moved into the high volume electronics manufacturing equipment and machinery industry, working on electronics manufacturing systems, processes & equipment design, development, procurement, installation & support for multinational companies. This led Peter into Management where he set up and ran a manufacturing facility for a German company, Löhr & Herrmann Automation. Peter also worked for mobile phone giant Ericsson in manufacturing engineering and new product development. Peter represented Ericsson UK in global production development, working practises and procedural improvement steering groups. This was then followed by manufacturing and quality management roles at Harvard Engineering, an electronics design and manufacturing company based in Leeds. At Harvard Engineering Peter was involved in the introduction of the concept of lean manufacturing and 5S principles, to improve the overall performance of the manufacturing facility.
Peter was brought into GSA to manage and develop the Electrical, Instrument and Control department. This involves supporting existing projects in all aspects of E&I as well as developing the GSA E&I design and development services in its own right.
